Current Initatives

Two initiatives are currently underway on the part of the Newtown Business Guild:

• The first proposed initiative is for the establishment of Internet businesses and E-Commerce sites using existing storefronts and warehouse space in Newtown. Several successful businesses of this type have come to Staunton in recent years, including Cambridge Travel (a student tour and  travel company) and J. C. General Merchandise (a retail and e-bay sales company for model kits and related merchandise). more...
• The second initiative  is a proposal to invite book sellers to the Newtown area to set up bookshops and Internet related businesses using available storefronts and buildings.
